These audiences are all made up of men and women, living in the USA, age 24–65 (this age group is more likely to have enough disposable income to decorate their own home).
Audience 1: Let’s find some Christmas decor fans online. Begin by adding interests ‘Christmas decoration’ and ‘Christmas ornament’:
The ‘narrow audience’ tab will appear. Click on it, and add the additional three interests shown above.
Audience 2: Now we are finding an audience for the home and lifestyle sectors. Begin by adding interests ‘Houzz’ and ‘Zara Home’.
The ‘narrow audience’ tab will appear. Click on it, and add the two additional interests shown above: ‘Bed Bath & Beyond’ and ‘Macy’s’.
We can narrow this audience down even further by clicking again on the ‘narrow audience’ tab and adding another two additional interests: ‘HomeGoods’ and ‘Ideal Home’.
Audience 3: Here is another group for the home and lifestyle sectors. Begin by adding the interests ‘Home Décor Products’, ‘Home Decore’ and ‘Houzz’.
Then the ‘narrow audience’ tab will appear. Click on it, and add the additional interest shown above: ‘The Home Depot’. Repeat this step and add the final additional interest shown above: ‘Elle Decor’.
Audience 4: Here is another group for the home and lifestyle sectors. Begin by adding the interests ‘Home Décor Products’, ‘HomeGoods’ and ‘House Beautiful’.
The ‘narrow audience’ tab will appear. Click on it, and add the additional interest shown above: ‘Ashley Furniture HomeStores’, ‘Decor Home Ideas, ‘Home Deco’, and ‘Ideal Home’.
And there you have it: four audiences to get your Facebook targeting efforts off the ground. Now you have a few more things to consider, like where your ads will appear (mobile or desktop, newsfeed, etc.) before you begin – try to think about the habits of your target customer when you select your options. Don’t forget, many dropshippers are fully aware that their first ads do not lead to sales: it’s the retargeting step where things get real. Have a very merry dropshipping Christmas!
